Mother
Mother is a striking, multidimensional sculpture that brings together Earth’s raw and radiant elements to symbolize creation, connection, and collective beauty. At its core, clay forms a foundation—humble and timeless—into which 40 to 50 rocks and crystals of diverse shapes, colors, and textures are embedded, as though the Earth itself has pushed its treasures to the surface. Encased in glossy resin, the piece glistens, capturing and refracting light in mesmerizing ways, much like the dynamic brilliance of life on this planet. Mounted on a rotating base, Mother becomes a kinetic experience, encouraging viewers to engage with its shifting perspectives and discover new details with each turn.
The tactile and sensory nature of this work mirrors the magnetic pull of creation itself—inviting us to see, touch, and marvel at the individuality and harmony of Earth’s offerings. I see God as Creation: infinite and abundant. In this piece, Earth is our Mother—a life-giver who births beauty and possibility, symbolizing hope for new ideas and a brighter future. The varied minerals, some smooth and others rough, ancient yet timeless, reflect the uniqueness of us all. It is through this diversity and collective energy that life becomes so vibrant, intriguing, and profoundly beautiful.
