Living Library

In Living Library, I explore the profound diversity of humanity through a symbolic representation of skeletons that appear in various colors and sizes. Each figure stands as a unique expression of life, reflecting the multitude of ways humans exist—different heights, shapes, and vibrant hues. The colors, whether referencing external skin tones or the glow of an internal light like an aura, signify the uniqueness and energy each person carries. At our core, our DNA is an ancient book—a living archive of the stories of those who came before us. Like libraries filled with knowledge, we walk through the world embodying our ancestors’ histories, their triumphs, struggles, and legacies. This work invites viewers to reflect on their own origins and the universal truth that, despite our differences, we are all connected through the shared threads of humanity’s living story.
